Schmoll’s parachuting apparently also took him directly into motion-picture stunt work.
IMDb’s complete crew listing for Beach Blanket Bingo (1965) identifies:
Harry Schmoll — stunt double: Dee Dee skydiving (uncredited).5
“Dee Dee” was Annette Funicello’s character.
Skydiving is central to the film’s premise, and employing an experienced member of Southern California’s jumping community would have been consistent with the production’s needs. The timing also aligns closely with Schmoll’s documented technical work for Rod Pack.
The attribution should nevertheless receive a Moderate rather than High evidentiary rating because:
- the role was uncredited on screen;
- IMDb is a secondary, collaboratively maintained database; and
- no surviving studio call sheet, payroll sheet, SAG record, stunt report, or production correspondence naming Schmoll has yet been located.
No other specific film or television stunt credits for Schmoll have been independently established.
It is possible that he performed additional aerial work that went uncredited, but that possibility should not be converted into biography without evidence.
